Need an "Update" tool to update Drainage Catalogs, Prototypes, and Engineering Libraries from another file

We need a better way to update a working DGN with changed or added Drainage content from the DGNLib. It is possible to export and import library XML files, but you'd need to know which libraries have been changed. There's no XML file for prototypes, so there's no way to export and import those.


There's two cases:

  1. Adding content that's in the source but not the destination

  2. Updating existing content


We need functionality that:

  1. Lets the user select the source DGN or DGNLib

  2. Compare the prototypes, libraries, and catalogs in each

  3. Show whether each one exists in the destination or not

  4. Let the user choose which to copy from the source to the destination


The destination file is the active file. We will need to ensure that it is open read/write, not read-only.

    The "Update Standards from Dgnlib" does not work for Hydraulic prototypes. You have manually add/edit the prototype in each drainage dgn file if you need to adjust the prototype after you have added it to the dgnlib file.
