There are several ways a file can be opened though local access, networking, and ProjectWise. There is very minimal documentation available to explain to users the difference between Upgrading and Aligning a file. Not to mention how, when, and why. Please include a notice that "the file will be aligned to the product and may be un-editable to other users". Although a back-up file may get created, a user does not always have access to specific files or folders that may be managed in other ways.
