Linear Template - the BSplines warning is not helpful

When you place a Linear Template on a splined element a warning is generated which requires user interaction to dismiss: "Warning: The base geometry selected for this corridor contains B-Spline elements for the horizontal Transitions. Consider recreating the elements in the Offset and Taper command with the Use Spiral Transitions option toggled on"

There are a number of problems with this warning which suggest it should be eliminated:

  1. By the time I see this warning it is often too late to correct anything. If any warning is justified (I don't think it is) it should occur during the offset commands.

  2. The Use Spiral Transitions option is only available when using a single offset. Thus, in the very common situations where a variable offset is needed, there is nothing that can be done to avoid splines and thus the warning devolves into an annoyance which causes stress to some designers for which there is no recourse for correction.

  3. Although this warning does not say so, there is supposedly a performance penalty associated with the use of splines. However, in our testing there is little if any performance difference.
