Revised Justification for DU Cell Enhancements
If Drainage and Utility (DU) cells could incorporate linear and point features, these elements could be utilized as break lines within graphical filters for terrain modeling. Additionally, such features would enable the application of linear templates for grading around structures and facilitate target aliasing. To improve earthwork calculations, DU cells should be represented as meshes rather than solids, allowing the occupied volume to be accurately accounted for.
Careful consideration is needed to prevent recursive relationships between nodes and terrain, as well as between nodes and corridors.
