The current tool is placing a rectangular block of variable sizes only. It works to timber (wood) ties, but it does not represent the actual concrete ties, such as high speed rail or any scalloped with notched rail seats. As we increase requirements for BIM LOD, it is critical to be able to model correct ties. Various carriers and modes (freight, high speed, light) have different standards, shapes, and dimensions of concrete ties. Thus, having an option to use parametric cell, would be the most correct way or building permanent way models.
