OpenRoads Designer currently lacks a workflow to apply spatially varying Z corrections derived from a mesh to existing geometry, while preserving the X and Y coordinates.
This is helpful for situations like in point‑cloud‑driven workflows, users frequently extract features (points, lines, cells, text) from an uncontrolled point cloud, then later reconcile those elements to a controlled dataset. The vertical differences between datasets are not uniform and vary spatially across the project area. These differences are derived as a residual mesh, where mesh Z values represent ΔZ corrections at given X,Y locations. However, there is currently no native ORD tool to apply those ΔZ values to existing geometry without changing X and Y coordinates or recreating elements.
