The measure Area Flood tool does not work in cross section drawing models. Currently there is no way to calculate the area of individual shapes.
This means if there is anything unique on a cross section, we can’t measure it easily. And no one can go back and check the cross sections to ensure it was done correctly. What this has forced people to do it is trace the earthwork shapes with place shape to get areas by hand.
The tool works in dynamic cross section view.

This is a must have to QC earthwork. What about adding an option to the Cross Section Navigator that allows any grid to be ignored and the referenced graphics to be selectable by a flood?
Need to have a toggle on any command that can use a flood fill option, to use or ignore visible edges.
Would also be useful on cross sections if level definitions could include an ignore option as well, similar to turning off the snap and locate on a reference, so we would not need to turn off the grid level to flood an area for measurement/hatching, etc.
