Following an amendment to the vertical al ignment, the corridor file failed to use the associated superE in the re-processed corridor. No error message was shown but the desi gn no longer followed the design intent.

The root cause of the issue appears to be not reprocessing the superE reference before rep rocessing the corridor model.

From a user perspective what we need is an error message from ORD which states, SuperE VA mismatch wi th corridor VA, SuperE NOT applied, rebuild superE with matching vertical geometry to resolve. – or something similar.

With no erro r message displayed its very hard for the user to understand the superE has not been applied and the risk is the design progresses t o drafting or even issue for construction etc without the super E applied, leading to wasted time and dollars and a possible claim.

This represents a serious risk to the consultants with potential to issue construction / setting out data which is incorrect.

The error message is a min. requirement where the software can not meet the design requirements as set up by the designer.
