There is currently not a way to create a ruled copy of an element when using the Complex By Element tool. Being able to create a ruled copy of a range of segments and curves into a complex element with a different feature definition would be a helpful enhancement during parcel creation. For example, closed parcel shapes are needed to generate deed descriptions. The parcel shapes should be ruled to the property and existing right of way lines to dynamically update with revisions. Adding this ruled copy enhancement to the Complex By Element tool would keep the user from having to use the offsets and tapers tools to create new lines or arcs ruled to the segments or curves of the property and existing right of way lines and then having to use the Complex By Element tool to create the complexed shape. This enhancement would streamline the workflow mentioned above.
