horizontal regression for points

in Inroads there was an option to select points to put in regression in geometry to create a best fit alignment. You could then do a single element regression analysis afterwards and it would give you the best fit line and how far in either direction of the line the points that were entered were. This was extremely helpful for rotating old drawings on to the correct bearing and also for creating new alignments. I attached a text file of the InRoads report. It would also be helpful to be able to rotate the alignment from points other than the POB in geometery builder

We added functionality for horizontal regressions in 10.12. Does this fit your needs? Please see the video below for a brief overview of the tools.

after playing around with this more i selected about 25 points on a smaller tangent and when i viewed the results it only showed 6 points in the point index. I went back to add points thinking somehow i missed them even though the turned purple and it wouldn't allow me to select them because they were already in the regression. Also in the old program i was able to shut off selected points to change the best fit but it doesn't seem to allow me to do this in ORD. Any help would be appricated

This definitely helps thanks. Is there a way to select multiple points at one time? I have a 2000’ tangent I’m trying to do best fit on but it seems like it will only let me select the points individually but there are over 100 points that I have to manually select.
