Update the tool "Create 3D By Slope To Target" to add better functionality when applied to regular 3D MicroStation linework

The tool "Create 3D By Slope To Target" can currently be applied to regular 3D MicroStation linework, but it doesn't work very well at all, assuming due to it's reliance on stroking. It is often much more efficient/simple to create certain design terrain models by just simply drawing the 3D break lines using regular MicroStation tools. (specifically, complicated & detailed foundation excavations. It is much much easier to draw the break lines by snapping to the 3D concrete elements rather than creating 2D geometry and adding vertical profiles) After creating the 3D break lines, we need to generate excavation cut slopes using "Create 3D By Slope To Target" and target the existing terrain. (Previously "Generate Sloped Surface" in InRoads). I think the best solution would be if the "Create 3D By Slope To Target" had a "Stroking" option added. Currently, for 2D geometry with a profile, it uses the stroking that is set to the 2D geometry, but with regular MicroStation lines, it seems to only project points at the PI's. If there was a stroking option added, then for 2D geometry with profile, it could default to the stroking value set to the 2D geometry but still give an option to change it. For regular MicroStation lines, it could default to a stroking (perhaps set in the configuration) but also give the option to change it. Please see screenshot attached clearly showing the Problem with the current tool which was never an issue with InRoads.

Thanks!

Great comment. A stroking or divide tool would be very helpful. If the "create traverse feature" tool was used in InRoads at a 0' offset and 0' vertical difference interval vertices could be create on a 3d linestring. InRoads could also add vertices to linestrings if they where added to a surface with the surface filter then redisplayed. More 3d breakline tools are need for sure. I would like the "Create 3d by slope to target" to be able to daylight to a mesh
