End Area Earthwork Corrections for Curvature

End Area Volumes are still a contractual requirement on projects. We need a tool to correct the earthwork calculations around curves like the GEOPAK “Centroid Adjustment” tool that did that correction and provided a summary of the centroid location and the adjusted lengths.

A workaround is to create plan view named boundaries that are the length of the cross-section interval and run “Quantities Report by Named Boundary.” The problem with this is that we need to show an adjusted length used to calculate the end area volumes and then also place these corrected numbers on each section. This workaround will cause us more work to produce and annotate in plans than the old tools that were previously available in GEOPAK.
