For now ORD Cross sections have limited capabilities compared to MS Clip volumes.
Request is that ORD cross sections do inherit full capabilities of MS Clip volumes, including capability to define a thickness for point clouds and project the Point Cloud points to the cut plane, so that point clouds can be directly used in civil projects.
Descartes offers also nice point cloud section manager, but lack of integration of these 3 different ways to cut 3D models makes "real" integration of Point Cloud data complex.
It would be far easier for customers to have one fully functional Civil section tool rather than 3 incompatible tools, each accomplish a bit of user's requirement.
Bare Point cloud integration has been a strength a differentiator from competitors.
