Need flood tools to be able to 'see' visible edges

Text from similar idea I MSR-I-1419 posted in MicroStation:

When viewing a section through an assembly, flood tools such as fill, hatching, create region, measure area, etc. will not detect visible edges as part of the flood.

Would like to at least have a checkbox in any flood operation to use/ignore visible edges.

I also posted an idea in MicroStation and Civil ideas (don't have the Civil link yet) for items to NOT be seen by flood operations.

    Thanks for the idea! However, it isn't necessary to post the idea in both places; we can move the ideas around as needed.
